The Stars Are Fire by Anita Shreve is a novel of fiction that takes place around the disastrous fire that ravaged Maine's coast in This is the first book I've read by this author.

This is the first book I've read by this author/5. The latest, The Stars The stars are fire book Fire, is just dreadful, no substance totally unbelievable, starting down a road then flitting somewhere else, as if a storyline was being followed then abandonned to go elsewhere.

Everytime Ms. Shreve publishes a new book I hope that she has returned to her previous excellent form, only to be disappointed/5(). "Of Fire and Stars" is a really excellent YA fantasy f/f read. Adult book writers could take some lessons from the slow burn and chemistry that Coulthurst created between her two leading ladies and is one of the reasons I still read YA/5.

In THE STARS ARE FIRE, which is based on a true story, Anita Shreve revisits a popular theme of hers that of an ordinary woman who must face extraordinary hardship and mine strength she never knew she possessed. Grace is forced to pick up the pieces of her charred life and make a new one for her young family after having lost nearly everything.

Stars On Fire has a couple things that make this book stand out for me. First the hero is an astronaut. That's a first for me and I like the extra it brings to the story. It'll be interesting to see how these two handle the relationship when he isn't even on earth.
